Justin Naylor, of Classic Italian Cooking

Justin Naylor
Chef & Instructor

Justin began offering cooking classes in 2004 after years of studying and preparing regional Italian dishes.

During the summer of 2005, he and his wife, Dillon, traveled to Italy for a series of apprenticeships at several farms to deepen and broaden their knowledge.

While there, Justin and Dillon made Italian cheeses, cooked with Italian farm families, and assisted in restaurant kitchens.

In 2006, Justin began offering classes at the Inn at North East Creek, in North East Maryland. That same year he also completed an apprenticeship at the celebrated Italian restaurant, pane e salute, in Woodstock, Vermont.

In the summer of 2007, Justin and Dillon moved to Stillwater, Pennsylvania to found Old Tioga Farm, where Justin continues to pursue his passion for teaching classic Italian cooking.

What is Classic Italian?

Authentic classic Italian cooking is based on Italian geography and farming regions, fresh local ingredients, and regional Italian wines, selected for their ability to enhance the meal.

To create this authenticity, we use fresh-picked vegetables from our own garden, nutritious meats and organically-grown produce from other farms in our area, and seafood from local suppliers.

The imported regional Italian wines specially selected for each meal are representative of those you would enjoy while dining in Italy. In the future, we may select from regional vineyards here in the northeast.
